Shaun Taylor (Call sign: Nytfury)
Shaun Taylor was introduced to the world of drone racing in the summer of 2015. He was working as a firefighter and raced drones as a hobby. After winning a big race in Vegas, Shaun decided to take it more serious and traded shifts to travel to more races. Shaun then went on to win the MultiGP National Championship two years in a row. When he ran out of trades at the fire department, Shaun quit his job and committed entirely to drone racing. That same year, Shaun won the World Championship in Hawaii. From 2015 to 2019, Shaun has won 14 total major races. In between those races, Shaun was sent around the world to demonstrate and educate by multiple sponsors. Today, Shaun Taylor remains to be one of the most decorated drone racer in the world. Shaun has been married to his wife since 2007, they have a son named Max and a daughter named June. Shaun started Drone Max LLC. to share his passion with the world.

Shaun Taylor, MinChan Kim, Brian Morris- AKA Team KDRA took home the gold during DR1’s first Champions Series in 2017.
In a tie breaker for 1st, Shaun Taylor went against Alex Vanover and lost by 0.3 seconds.
In May 2018, Shaun took first at the UVify Denver Internationals - IDRA 2018 Challengers Cup at AUVSI XPONENTIAL.

Team DR1 took first at the DSI Drone Sport Championship in South Korea in September 2018. Team consists of Shaun Taylor, Alex Vanover, and Luke Bannister.

Co-founder, Teng Ma (Call sign: Junebug)
Teng and Shaun met in 2005 and married in 2007. Teng was in law school when Shaun started to fly drones in 2015. After going with Shaun to a drone race in 2015, she was hooked. Teng practiced with Shaun every chance she got. In the summer of 2019, Teng won the fastest female spot in the U.S. joining Team USA to compete on the world stage in Ningbo, China. Teng took 3rd in the world. Since then, Teng has become a licensed attorney in California and a licensed realtor in New Mexico. Teng keeps busy by splitting her time dynamically amongst all her passions while making sure she spends plenty of quality time with her family.
